Built by Budd in July 1982 with an off-center snack bar with 10 4-place booths on the long end and 17 seats in 1, 2, and 4 seat configurations on the short end near the restroom and vestibule. Converted to a smoking lounge using the short end of the car in September 1999 and assigned the name "Pittsburgh Club". Converted to a "Diner-Lite" car in December 2007 which involved removal of 3 tables on the long end, replaced by a conductor's office and storage space. The short end of the car received 19 seats arranged in two and four-seat booths. A small cooking facility was constructed in the car so these cars could be used as dining cars. Historical information about this car provided by www.amtrakbythenumbers.com. |
