Built in May 1976 as an Amclub with 18 club seats, snack bar, and 23 coach seats, it would be converted to having 33 club seats and was initially numbered 20676. Refurbished for Metroliner Service in August 1983 and renumbered 20976. Trainline-equipped for push-pull service in January 1989 and renumbered 48976.
