Amtrak Amfleet I Coach #82980

Built as an Amclub with 18 club seats, snack bar, and 23 coach seats in May 1976 and numbered 20134. Refurbished to having 33 club seats in February 1977 and renumbered 20672. Refurbished for Metroliner Service in January 1984 and renumbered 20972. Renumbered again in December 1997 to 20988. Trainline-equipped for push-pull operation and converted to a coach using American Recovery & Reinvestment Act funds (Economic Stimulus) in August 2011 and renumbered 82980. Upon conversion to a coach, the "Food Service Car" letterboards were left in place and painted blue. The car today is set up as a Capstone car with 72 seats.
