Built by Siemens Mobility in July 2021 and numbered 301. This series of locomotives is a long-distance variant of the Siemens SC-44 Charger used on state-sponsored corridor trains. This particular unit features a special paint scheme for its 50th Anniversary that was originally used on an EMD E-8A locomotive for publicity photos when Amtrak first began operations in May 1971.
