Built for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad by Pullman-Standard in 1950, the car was originally configured as a 52 seat coach. Later operated with the Allegheny County Port Authority. Later to the Connecticut Department of Transportation where the car was renumbered 1600, then onto the Adirondack Scenic Railroad where it was also numbered 1600. Acquired by Norfolk Southern in 2010 and overhauled in March 2014 to be handicap accessible, numbered 43 and named "Iowa".
