Built for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad by Pullman-Standard in 1950, the car was originally configured as a 52 seat coach. Later converted to a 66 seat coach and operated with the Allegheny County Port Authority and later the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The car also operated on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad before being acquired by Norfolk Southern in 2010, undergoing an overhaul in 2013 being numbered 42 and named "Tennessee". Today the car operates as a coach with a Head-End Power generator on one end of the car. Historical information about this car provided by The Altoona Works and Jerry Laboda's Passenger Car Photo Index. |
