The Erie Lackawanna MU Coaches

Background

The Chapter owns 3 cars. After having their traction motors and pantographs stripped, these cars were initially placed into K-4s services and in excursions in the following communities: Claysburg, East Freedom, Roaring Spring, and Martinsburg, PA. 

Original car numbers on the coaches were: Erie Lackawanna 3501, 3537, and 3533 (this car was the red color with white window frames as received in 1985).

Here, the cars are in storage at Claysburg, PA. This photo was taken on 9/30/1985. No, those aren't my kids! The pantographs and traction motors were subsequently removed and the cars were restored to operating condition. Coaches in the background at the Claysburg, PA (Everett Railroad).
