This is a series of overhead views of the Algoma Steel plant in Sault Ste. Marie. They were taken from the International Highway Bridge in the summer of 2000.

The cars shown in the lower part of the above photo are on the paper company's receiving tracks

Basic oxygen furnace (BOF). Algoma Steel's BOF is one of the largest in Canada

Old steel loading yard. This area appears to no longer be heavily used.

The entrance to the plant. The track in the foreground is the Algoma Central mainline to the paper company and passenger station
This is a portion of the map of Sault Ste. Marie from
MapQuest. While undetailed, it gives an overview of the layout of the plant, and I have marked significant locations.
