September 24, 2022 continued:

I then went into the main display barn and retook a few photos I deleted because they were blurry as well as some more photos.

I noticed there were lights on inside Sibley Park. I saw there were people working on the interior. I asked if I could come up, but was told no. I took some photos of Sibley Park with lights on.

I also went under Sibley Park and Royal Hudson #2850. I took some photos.

I then took a few more photos in the display barn.

I then photographed a vintage steam locomotive that was on a turntable in the main foyer of the display barn.

I saw former AMT coach #827 was in the maintenance barn but couldn’t photograph it. I then photographed equipment that was outside.

The John Molson steam locomotive was put away in the other display barn. I photographed it and FPA4 #6765.

I then photographed a few display boards about locomotives and grade crossing safety plus the ex CN electric multiple unit cars.

I then took a few more photos of equipment outside.

I saw they were putting streetcar #1959 back in the barn. I photographed it and AMT galley car #900 again.

It looked like the museum was going to close soon. I left and walked to the nearby CP line to see if any trains would pass. No trains did. I walked back to my car and photographed the locomotive and my rental car again.

Exporail is a great place to visit in the Montreal area. It’s just hard to get to.

I then left and stopped for gas. I then drove back to the airport to return the car. I had no trouble getting back there. I did hit traffic and was forced to detour. I still made it back by 5:30 pm; the time I said I would be returning the car so it turned out I didn’t need the extra hour after all.

After dropping off the rental car, I walked back to the terminal. I saw a HUGE line of people wanting to buy tickets for the route #747 bus. However, STM had two other routes that serve the airport that go to the Dorval train station. Unlike the #747, my pass is valid on those routes. While waiting for a bus, I photographed an Air Transit jet.

The bus arrived and I rode to Dorval station. I filmed a Montreal bound VIA train arriving as well as an EXO commuter train leaving the city. I photographed the EXO train.

I then boarded a bus on route #195 to Angrignon station. The bus however didn’t go straight there, but made multiple turns.

The bus stopped outside the bus garage. We had to change to another bus. I photographed a bus at the garage.

I soon made it back to Angrignon. I waited for the next route #36 Monk bus to arrive. It was Hybrid LFS #40-014. I photographed it before I walked to the Metro.

I rode to Lionel-Groulx. I filmed the train pulling out and transferred to the Orange line. I rode an Orange line train to Namur. I photographed the train and filmed it pulling out.

Since this was my final night in Montreal, I had returned to Gibeau Orange Julip. I photographed the restaurant which looked lovely after dark.

I have learned that William Shatner of Star Trek fame’s first job was at none other then Gibeau Orange Julip! While I’m not into Star Trek, it’s interesting that this restaurant has a former employee who became famous.

I then headed to the Metro and rode to Barri-UQAM. I then walked back to my hotel. I went online for awhile and set my alarm on my phone for 8:30 and called it a night.
