Bill Holdsworth read the minutes of the October meeting.
Jay Creswell gave a brief summary of the chapter's financial status. Jay updated members on the status of the chapter's membership renewal process.
Bill announced that the chapter has downsized its storage locker, with the help of John Sery and Gordon Piscacek.
John Morris and Bennett Lichtman reported that the nominating committee had assembled a slate of candidates for the chapter offices:
There were no nominations from the floor. Members passed a motion to elect the proposed slate by acclamation.
Bill reminded members about the holiday social December 15.

Meeting was called to order by Treasurer Jay Creswell. Attending were 28 individuals, which included 24 members and 4 guests.
Report of Potomac Chapter Nominating Committee (John Morris, Bennett Lichtman) was delivered by John Morris. While the committee has been able to contact most of incumbent officers and directors, and potential candidates for open positions, the committee has not heard back from two individuals they attempted to contact. In view of this situation, a nomination slate was not presented and a motion was made to table the presentation of a nominations slate until the November 17, 2015, chapter membership meeting in order to provide sufficient time for the Nominating Committee to have heard back from the remaining individuals they have not spoken to. The motion was seconded and the vote to approve the motion was passed unanimously.
Jim Mixter reported that several chapter members joined him on Saturday, October 10th, to watch trains at Alexandria’s Amtrak Station. A good time was had by all.
John Morris reminded members of the opportunity to join him in riding the MARC commuter train from Washington, DC, Union Station to Perryville, MD, the end of the Penn Line, and return on Veteran’s Day, November 11th.

Jim Mixter described the train-watching October 10 train-watching event at Alexandria, which he and Bill have organized. Start time is 8:15 a.m.
Jay Creswell gave the treasurer's report, summarizing August expenses.
Gordy announced that John Morris and Bennett Lichtman have been appointed to the nominating committee. Anyone interested in an elected position should contact them.
John is organizing a trip to Perryville on Veterans Day. Participants will ride the MARC train departing Washington at 12:20 p.m.

Bill Holdsworth read the minutes of the April meeting.
Jay Creswell gave the treasurer's report summarizing the previous month's expenses and income. Jay reported that the March 28 chapter banquet had a $90 deficit.
Members approve a motion to lower the annual amount paid by Associates, currently $25 to receive the newsletter(PRN) by mail and $20 to get receive the PRN via email, to match the dues paid by chapter members ($15 to receive the PRN by mail and /$7.50 via email).
Jay briefed members on the options under consideration for the picnic. He solicited their opinions.
Bob Cohen supplied contact information for those members interested in volunteering on the N&W #611 steam excursions in June and July.
