The scanner frequencies listed below are monitored from a point 10 miles south of Manassas, VA., and are known to be in use as of June 2000. Amtrak, VRE, and MARC use the frequencies of the host railroads that they operate over.The NS Administrative Radio Network (ARN) channels operate the same as PBX channels on other railroads, allowing railroad personnel to originate telephone calls on either the internal company or the public telephone networks.
