Steven Pass Railfan Trip and beyond! 6/23/2011 Part 2

by Chris Guenzler

Bob had an idea about going down to Edmonds to take pictures of the Empire Builder, so while Elizabeth prepared tri-tip, vegetables and potatoes, the two of us drove down there. Since parking was going to be a problem, Bob dropped me off and I walked down the beach to a photo location up on the rocks where I waited for a train to appear.

Sounder 1706 from Seattle to Everett with Sounder F59PHI 902 in the Orca paint scheme.

Two views along the Puget Sound. Now we waited for a late-running eastbound Empire Builder which made a long station stop in Edmonds, but soon came our way.

The Empire Builder running from Seattle to only Havre, Montana with Amtrak P42 156 in 40th Anniversary paint scheme on the point. We walked back to the car and drove home for the rest of the evening.
